Les Chevaliers de Saint Hubert

Anneke Scott, Joseph Walters,
Jorge Renteria-Campos, Martin Lawrence.

Formed in 2011, initially to record the Gallay Grand Quatour, the musicians of Les Chevaliers du Saint Hubert comprise four of the leading period horn players in Europe. The four, frequently to be found working together as the horn section of ensembles such as the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique (director Sir John Eliot Gardiner), The Kings Consort or the Australian Chamber Orchestra, specialise in performing historical horns, ranging from the earliest baroque horns through to the many varieties of early valve instruments that flourished in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries prior to the establishment of what todays audiences would recognise as a modern horn.

The four musicians can regularly be heard on the concert platforms of the word and on many recordings including (with Gavin Edwards) the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique/Gardiner recordings of Brahms symphonies and works for orchestra and choir which is thought to be the first such recording of these works on natural horn.
